Week 7 (July 19-July 23)

Find 5 toys in your house and give 1 toy to someone else. How many toys do you have left?

Make a list of zoo animals. Sort them by different categories, such as type of animal (mammals, fish, etc.) or coloring (green, brown, striped, etc.).

Look for shapes in the clouds. Put a blanket in the grass and stare up at the sky. Take turns talking about what you see in the clouds.
Week 8 (July 26-July 30)
Mathematics
Pick your two favorite colors and find as many objects as you can that are those two colors. Sort the object into two piles by color. How many of each color do you have?

An animal has escaped from the zoo! Make up a story about it. Tell it to a friend or family member or write it down. Add pictures, if you'd like.

Use Play-Doh to build different shapes, practice your subtracting skills as you cleanup and put each shape back into the container.

Week 10 (August 9-August 13)

Use Play-Doh to build different shapes, practice your subtracting and additions skills as you build and cleanup.

Make an alphabet book of things around your house or things you see outside.

Week 11 (August 16-August 20)
Mathematics
Create addition problems using pencil/paper or objects in your home. Ask someone to solve the problems that you create.

Plan an end-of-summer celebration. Record a list of the 10 best things you did this summer. Create a menu of your favorite summer treats to be enjoyed on your last day of summer!

Have a water balloon baseball game. Use a plastic bat, a bucket of water balloons, and old towels as bases and you are all set.
