Week 5 (July 5-July 9)

Watch your favorite cartoon. Who is the main character? Draw a picture of them and write 3 words that describe them.

Collect rocks and paint them. Turn them into pet rocks, garden ornaments, or gifts for family members.
Week 7 (July 19-July 23)
Mathematics
Count the number of objects in a room (for example: windows) and compare them to the same object in other rooms. Decide if the number of objects in the first room are > < or = to the objects in the second room.

Make a list of zoo animals. Sort them by different categories, such as type of animal (mammals, fish, etc.) or coloring (green, brown, striped, etc.).

Look for shapes in the clouds. Put a blanket in the grass and stare up at the sky. Take turns talking about what you see in the clouds.
Week 8 (July 26-July 30)

Add a one-digit number to a two-digit number - with regrouping
Find an old analog clock and set the time for different events of the day. Set the clock for the time you wake up, eat lunch, go to bed, and any other activity. There are websites with analog clocks that you can use as well.
ELA / Reading
An animal has escaped from the zoo! Make up a story about it. Tell it to a friend or family member – or write it down. Add pictures, if you'd like.

Count the number of spoons, forks, cups, windows, and chairs in your house, how many would you have if you had 10 more? How many would you have if you had 10 less?

Talk to an older relative about what it was like when they were a kid. Draw a picture of something that represents them.
Week 10 (August 9-August 13)
Mathematics
Look around your house, what objects have 4 sides? What objects have 3 sides? What objects have 4 corners? What object have more than 4 corners?

Make an alphabet book of only things related to summer. (sunscreen, hat, etc.)

Week 11 (August 16-August 20)

As you are eating today, cut your food into halves and into fourths. Can you cut them in different ways or multiple times?

Plan an end-of-summer celebration. Record a list of the 10 best things you did this summer. Create a menu of your favorite summer treats to be enjoyed on your last day of summer!
